We are authorized resellers for the Sani-Blast Equipment line. The Sani-Blast systems are the only systems which offer On Press capabilities. For companies with larger rollers or rollers which are very difficult to remove from their press, this is a great feature that will save many man-hours. On Press cleaning also reduces the risk of roll damage occurring – most plants we work with have horror stories about how a roll became damaged due to mishandling.
An Off-Press option is also available for companies using sleeves or who wish to have one central spot for roll cleaning. An Off-Press system utilizes a heavy duty cart that continuously spins the roll as it is getting cleaned. These carts can handle rollers up to 2,000 lbs and up to 8' long.
With each system purchase, we include set up and in plant training. Contact us now for further information or to schedule a demonstration.
Has your plant inherited a used soda system? Or maybe "forgotten" about the one someone bought many years ago?
If so, we have a full staff of factory trained service technicians who can handle repair and maintenance requests for virtually any kind of legacy system (BioBlast, SaniBlast, Techniflex). We can also perform training sessions and supply spare parts, rebuild kits, nozzles, brush heads, hoses, and the specially formulated baking soda that goes into the pot (see below).
Other ARMEX formulas will not work either (unless your roller has a low LPI i.e. traditional corrugator rolls) – their particle size is too large to effectively work on engraved rollers. The particle size of the ARMEX Anilox formula starts out at about 70 microns. When it "hits" the roller face under low pressure, it instantly fractures into many smaller particles. This is what enables the soda to get to the bottom of the cell – the fractured baking soda gets as small as 7-8 microns. |

ARCS has done extensive testing with a leading roll manufacturer, and have documented proof that soda cleaning can effectively clean any line screen count up to 1200 without a problem. Plastic pellet blasting machines cannot perform this level of cleaning. In fact, we regularly receive rollers in our shop that are plugged up with plastic media, and the only way to remove it is through soda cleaning.
Because ARMEX baking soda is classified as non-hazardous, and because it's used in a dry process (no rewetting of inks or coatings occurs), any waste generated is usually not subject to any special handling or disposal requirements – check with your local authorities to make sure of this.

We strongly recommend to each plant we work with to use CAPATCH strips so they can keep track of their roll volumes. CAPATCH is a highly engineered device which enables the user to instantly find out current volume levels. CAPATCH is proven technology, and has been in the marketplace for almost 2 decades. We rely on it ourselves when we perform service for our clients, as it is a great way to verify post-cleaning volume levels. We have an entire page dedicated to CAPATCH – please click here to learn more. |

Every press room should own a microscope that enables the user to see their rollers cells. Usually, 200x works on most rollers in the market today, but some companies may need a stronger 400x scope. These powerful illuminated handheld microscopes will enable the user to visually inspect their roll at the cell level to determine cleanliness levels, monitor wear, and detect possible damage. Please call for current pricing and availability. |

• Press Room Scrubber This air-powered brush speeds up roll cleaning for those times when a quick scrub or spot cleaning is all your roll needs. Please call for current pricing and availability. |

| Ultrasonic Machines + Armakleen | ![]() |
For many narrow web companies, soda cleaning is impractical due to frequent change-overs, limited air supply, and lack of floor space. We represent several top-quality Ultrasonic Manufacturers who have designed machines specifically for this market. Our most popular model is a table top unit that can clean 2 rolls at a time, up to 17" face length.
Many Ultrasonic bath solutions on the market today are highly caustic, and can contribute to potential roll damage. We only recommend the Armakleen Liquid Ink Remover product for use in our Ultrasonic machines, as it is a unique, non-caustic, aqueous-based cleaner with an extremely green "profile". It is effective on virtually all types of inks, coatings, and resins, and can last 3x as long as other Ultrasonic solutions.
As an authorized Armakleen distributor, we can help you determine if an Ultrasonic using Armakleen cleaners makes sense for your operation. We can perform a free cleaning trial in our lab, which will determine how effective this process would be for your dirty rolls (or any other difficult to clean parts or pieces).
We have a dedicated page to the Armakleen Liquid Ink Remover product and other types of parts washers. Please click here to learn more.
